Mrs. De La O's dedication to working in education spans over 17 years. Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and raised in Los Angeles, Mrs. De La O's experiences shaped her pathway into education and provided her with a strong, comprehensive understanding of the educational landscape and the challenges students face.

Previous to her role as assistant principal at Glendale High School, Mrs. De La O taught English and Social Science for six years at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and was an administrator at CHAMPS Charter High School. Mrs. De La O’s work with students from different socio-economic backgrounds have equipped her with the skills and insights necessary to help students and families navigate educational inequities with respect to cultural diversity.

Mrs. De La O’s philosophy on education centers on promoting equity and providing each student with options to succeed. Through curriculum development, family engagement, and targeted support, she strives to foster a culturally responsive, inclusive, and educational environment for all learners. 

Mrs. De La O earned her B.A. in History, her M.A. in History, and her M. Ed in Education, with an emphasis in curriculum and instruction.
